Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal is known to be the option for permanent hair reduction.

How does Laser Hair Removal work?

Skin Refine MedSpa located in Sunnyvale uses the laser Palomar Icon by Cynosure for its hair removal treatment. The laser targets the hair follicles destroying the active growth.

We suggest stretching your treatments out 4-6 weeks for the face and neck and 6-8 weeks for the body. Skin Refine can treat all skin colors safely and effectively. We also have options to treat multiple hair colors as well.

Before Treatment:

Before your treatment please shave the treatment area. No waxing or tweezing or use of depilatories in the treatment area during your treatment. No tanning or use of self-tanning products for two weeks prior. Please discontinue use of any strong skin care including retinols benzoyl peroxide and aha/bha products for 72 hours before your treatment. Please make sure that your laser is 10-14 days after any use of antibiotics.

After Treatment:

Do not sunbathe or use a tanning bed for at least 2 weeks following your treatment. If you need to be out in the sun, please wear a minimum of SPF.

Avoid swimming, hot tubs and saunas for several days following your treatment. It can take days to several weeks for the hair in the treated area to “fall out” (push up and out of the follicle). This time frame is normal.
