What are Cosmetic Laser Treatments?

Laser treatments use a single-wavelength of high-energy light to target a specific area of skin, producing heat to destroy specific targets or stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin in the skin. There are two basic types of types of lasers including ablative and nonablative. Ablative lasers vaporize the topmost layers of damaged skin, while nonablative lasers work in the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the top layers. Both forms of laser treatments work to rejuvenate the skin and address a number of different skin concerns and conditions. We use only nonablative lasers at Skin Refine Medspa.

When it comes to lasers, different wavelengths target different skin issues. Because of this, a selection of lasers is needed to treat many different skin issues. At our office, we use a number of effective and professional cosmetic lasers to address many skin conditions including sun damage, loose skin,, unwanted hair, stretchmarks, lines and wrinkles, and much more.
