What is CoolTone®?

CoolTone® is a non-surgical body contouring treatment developed by the same company that introduced CoolSculpting. Unlike CoolSculpting, CoolTone® works using magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS) to recontour the body. The treatment introduces pulses of electromagnetic energy to targeted muscle groups, resulting in rapid muscle contractions to strengthen and sculpt muscles. This means that patients experience results similar to those of traditional exercise, but much faster and effectively. As an example, during a single CoolTone® treatment to the abdominal area, patients experience muscle contractions equivalent to 30,000 sit-ups.

What to Expect With CoolTone®

For a majority of patients, four total CoolTone® treatments are recommended. These are scheduled over the course of two weeks. Maintenance treatments are necessary depending on if you work out and how often you work out.

During a CoolTone® treatment, there is little to no discomfort. After placing the applicator in the intended treatment area, patients may experience some sensation as the magnetic energy stimulates rapid muscle contraction. However, most patients describe the treatment as comfortable. CoolTone® sessions typically last 30 minutes per area .

No downtime is required after CoolTone® treatment. Patients may experience some soreness, similar to what they may feel after intense exercise. However, you can immediately return to your normal routine following a CoolTone® treatment session.

Who is an Ideal Candidate for CoolTone®?

The ideal CoolTone® candidate is at or near a healthy and stable weight, but wishes to make some changes to their natural body contour. Patients should be generally healthy overall and should already follow a healthy, balanced diet and active lifestyle. During the initial visit, our providers will review your health history and examine the treatment area to determine whether CoolTone® is your best option. Patients that have a pacemaker or other metal implants in the body are not a candidate for CoolTone®.

CoolTone® Results

Patients will notice a leaner, more athletic appearance, including improved muscle definition, within four CoolTone® treatment sessions. Results can be immediately visible following the course of four treatments, but will gradually improve over time.

Most patients will require routine maintenance treatments to keep up their CoolTone® results. During a consultation, your provider can explain a suitable long-term plan to maintain your desired results.
