What are NovaThreads?

NovaThreads are a non-invasive treatment option to tighten loose or sagging skin. They are absorbable surgical sutures composed of polydioxanone, which are completely safe to be implanted into the body. When used in the body, these threads trigger the body’s natural healing response to stimulate collagen and elastin production to enhance the look and feel of the skin.

 NovaThreads are available in three different thread forms including:

What to Expect?

During a NovaThreads treatment, lidocaine can be applied to the entry points for the threads to ensure patients are comfortable. The NovaThreads will then be expertly introduced into the skin through a very fine needle or cannula. Overall, treatment can take 30-45 minutes to complete.

What are the Results?

Following the NovaThreads treatment, there is no downtime needed, so patients can feel free to return to their normal activities. Individuals may experience slight bruising or swelling in the treatment area, though this should dissipate over the next couple of days. Be sure to avoid rubbing the treatment area to ensure that you do not interfere with the position of the threads for the best possible results.

NovaThreads are fully absorbed within 4-6 months, and do not create scar tissue. Because the threads are technically a foreign body, it stimulates collagen production in the skin, helping results to last for 12-15 months.
