Dr. Newell is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist, specializing in medical imaging, minimally invasive procedures, and aesthetic medicine in the bay area.
Dr. Newell obtained his medical degree as well as a Master of Business Administration degree at UC Irvine, graduating with honors. He went on to complete a residency in diagnostic radiology, followed by fellowship training in interventional radiology at UC San Diego. He has published numerous scholarly articles and book chapters throughout his career and is a trusted colleague among his peers. Dr. Newell is now specialized in using cutting edge medical imaging and minimally invasive surgical techniques to help patients throughout the bay area.
During his training to become an interventional radiologist where physicians use medical imaging and minimally invasive procedures to treat diseases, often in the very ill, Dr. Newell began to think about how he could apply the minimally invasive philosophy to the evolving area of aesthetics and wellness. Through years of practice in the field, Dr. Newell developed an “aesthetic philosophy” which focuses on combining preventative and sustainable health and wellness practices with non-surgical medical interventions to boost wellness, enhance aesthetics and deter psychologic stress to the body.
